If you are a registered patient of the centre and need to take medication on a long term basis, you can order repeat medication by completing a repeat prescription form, available from our reception desk. This form can be returned in person to the receptionist, by post or fax.
Or you can email your repeat prescription request to email@example.com. You will need to include your full name, date of birth and items you require.
We do not accept telephone requests for repeat medication.
If you require medication that is not on your repeat medication list then you will need to discuss this with a GP first. Your local pharmacist will be able to give you free health advice, and sometimes emergency medication, at any time – you don’t need an appointment. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis.
Please allow 48 hours for us to process your request. You must allow an extra day if you want your prescription to be forwarded direct to a pharmacy ready for collection.
Banbury Health Centre does not have an on-site pharmacy, however there are several pharmacies located nearby where patients can have their prescription dispensed. Most pharmacies operate a repeat prescription service and will re-order your medicines when they are due and have them ready for you to collect. This service is free and many patients find it is the most convenient way to re-order repeat medication. However, if you prefer to manage the re-ordering yourself, please follow the guidance below.
To ensure we provide you with the most effective care we will conduct a review of your medication at regular intervals. You may be required to attend an appointment with a clinician before a repeat prescription can be issued. In such instances, we will ensure there is no break in the continuity of your care.
