When We Are Closed
If you need urgent medical care when the centre is closed, please call Oxfordshire’s Urgent Care Service (formerly known as the Out-of-Hours Service) on 111. You will then speak to a call handler who will direct your call to the most appropriate person to deal with your problem; either a doctor, nurse or paramedic. If they think you need to be seen, you will be invited to the out-of-hours base unless your medical condition prevents you from leaving home in which case a doctor, nurse or paramedic will visit you at home.
If you simply want medical advice, you can telephone 111 for health information and advice, 24 hours a day. NHS 111 also offers advice on self-management of illness during surgery opening hours for non-urgent conditions.
